Biox-GreenGuardian DNA/RNA stain

Biox-GreenGuardian DNA/RNA gel stain (Dy-1015) is used for highly efficient and safe visualization of double-stranded DNA,in agarose or acrylamide gels. Separation of DNA fragments of different sizes in an agarose matrix is a routine task in molecular biology/genetics/clinical laboratories. The Biox-GreenGuardian DNA/RNA gel stain emits intense fluorescent signal when intercalated between the double helix of the size-separated DNA fragments, allowing the size of the pieces to be read compared to a reference DNA ladder. Biox-GreenGuardian DNA/RNA gel stain is a less hazardous alternative to ethidium bromide that can be excited at both UV wavelengths or blue light. The use of blue light significantly reduces the development of possible mutations in the DNA sample during isolation from the gel and reduces the user's UV exposure.

Biox-GreenGuardian DNA/RNA gel stain (SybrSafe equivalent) emission/excitation peaks: 508/525 nm.

Suggested use

In molecular biological, genetic research and clinical diagnostic laboratories. Biox-GreenGuardian DNA/RNA stain can be used by practically every laboratory that detects and manipulates DNA.
