Lipid Detection Kit

The kit contains two reagents: Bio Lipid Standard and Bio-FV Reagent.
Using these two reagent and concentrated sulfuric acid, the lipid concentration of the unknown EV sample compared to the lipid standard can be determined. EVs can be enriched from any body fluid, tissue, cell culture. After performing the appropriate purification steps, the lipid content can be determined by colorimetry. The reaction is detected with a photometer.
Only plastic equipment that is free from surface tension-reducing coatings should be used for the reaction. These coatings may react with the concentrated sulfuric acid used in the measurement or with any component of the kit, forming colored artifacts.
The lipid detection kit’s purpose is to quantify extracellular vesicles (EV) by colorimetric method.
The EVs are bounded by a double phospholipid layer. They are extracellular formulas released by the cell. According to the current state of science, they play a main role in intracellular communication through various proteins, nucleic acids, lipids and carbohydrates carried inside and on the surface of EVs.
EVs have significant therapeutic and diagnostic potential, so their investigation is a particularly important area of science.
